We work with goalies starting as young as 9 or 10 years old. For athletes under 12, we recommend joining a goalie session every 4–6 weeks alongside their regular club training to build proper habits early without overwhelming their schedule.

2. How often should my child train as a goalie?

It depends on their age and current team training:

Ages 12–16: Weekly or bi-weekly sessions are ideal to build strong fundamentals and consistency.
Ages 15–18: We suggest combining private sessions (to refine advanced skills and strategy) with small group training (for game-like reps and peer interaction).

3. What is the Onboarding Program, and why is it required?

All goalies begin with The Perfect Goalie – Onboarding Program. It’s a 3-step process designed to maximize long-term success:

A private kick-off session
Creation of a personalized goalie profile for daily improvement
A strategy meeting with parents to align support and expectations

This program sets the foundation for efficient, focused training.

4. My child doesn’t live in California. Can they still benefit from your training?

Yes! We offer Remote Goalie Coaching, which includes a personalized goalie profile and tailored training plans based on your athlete’s current environment and schedule. We also review game clips and provide feedback from anywhere in the world.

**5. What makes The Perfect Goalie different from other programs?**

6. Will this help my child get recruited to college?

Yes. We actively support athletes who are aiming to play at the college level, including tailored development plans, highlight video support, and strategic advice throughout the recruiting journey.

7. My child is new to goalkeeping. Is this too advanced?

Not at all. Our philosophy is built around meeting every athlete where they are — and guiding them step-by-step with age-appropriate challenges and encouragement. Beginners are absolutely welcome.
